Welcome to the Oakmont Genealogy Club

Description of the Club
The
Oakmont Genealogy Club is designed for any Oakmont resident who is
interested in exploring family genealogy - whether you have years of
experience or just want to get started. Our meetings are held monthly,
and will include both a general presentation of interest and breakout
sessions so participants can focus on an area of greatest interest.There will be no regular July meeting.
The August meeting will be held on Monday, August 24 at 2:30 (note time change) in the West Recreation Center. The meeting will be devoted to illustrating on-line genealogy research with real examples. If you'd like us to use one of your examples, email us at oakmontancestry@aol.com with basic information about the relative you'd like us to research. We'd like to focus on people in the United States who died after 1880. Be clear what information you'd like to find.
